CSU Bookstore

The CSU Bookstore has all the things you need and the stuff you want! The CSU Bookstore carries the books and materials required for all classes offered by Colorado State University as well as a large selection of everyday reading books. We offer a variety of CSU insignia clothing and gifts, and carry a complete line of art and school supplies. The revenue from the CSU bookstore is returned back to the University for student programs. (top)

Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation offers a host of activities to CSU students and employees. For more information about any of the following, stop by the Service Desk in the Student Recreation Center, call 970-491-6359, or visit http://campusrec.colostate.edu/.

  • The Rec Center - your 'on campus' health club for all your workout needs
  • Get Fit! - group fitness classes, specialty programs, personal training, massage therapy, fitness assessments, and workshops
  • Activity Classes - noncredit activities that range from martial arts to yoga, pilates, and swimming
  • Outdoor Adventure - seasonal outdoor activities and clinics, resource information about backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, bicycling, and international travel; advice about local climbing and hiking
  • Challenge Course - teambuilding and adventure programs for individuals or groups.
  • Sport Clubs - summer activities include Ultimate Frisbee, open to all students
  • Intramural Sports - recreational sport competition among fellow CSU students and employees; summer activities include softball, outdoor basketball, ultimate frisbee, golf, and soccer
Membership to the Student Recreation Center is automatic for summer students registered for 6 or more summer credits. Students who enroll for 1-5 credits during the summer session may purchase a membership to the Rec Center on a monthly or smester basis or students may purchase a daily pass. Please call the Rec Center for rates. Memberships are available for spring or fall 2009 registered students, CSU employees, and spouse/partners of CSU students and employees for a fee. Additionally, members enjoy reduced rates for most other activities that are fee-based. (top)

The Career Center

The Career Center offers services in career planning, internship and job search strategies, resume writing, practice interviewing and career interviews. Job, internship and career interview postings are provided through CareerRAM. You may access CareerRAM and additional services through www.career.colostate.edu. Charles A. Lory Student Center

The Student Center is the hub of activity throughout the summer months. In a single visit to the Student Center, you can check your email, enjoy a delicious lunch and then pick up sundry items at our convenience store. The Student Center offers a photocopy shop, hair salon, floral service, packaging and mailing service, full-service bank, software store, I.D. office, convenience store, bookstore, restaurants, and more. Hartshorn Health Service

The Hartshorn Health Service provides outpatient care for students, spouses, and children during summer session. The services available include: acute care, general medicine, gynecology, optometry, dental care, pediatrics, psychiatry, and allergy treatment/injections.

All summer session students enrolled in one or more credits are assessed a fee per credit hour which allows unlimited office visits with the staff physicians at Hartshorn. Continuing students and dependents of all eligible students are allowed to either pay the summer session health fee or have unlimited office visits on a fee-for-service basis for the summer session.

Students registered for credit courses offered through the Division of Educational Outreach may elect to pay the summer session health fee or pay fee-for-service. For more information, please call or visit the Hartshorn Health Service. (top)

The Libraries

As a student or researcher, the library has a wide array of electronic and print resources to assist you with your work. The library includes a variety of individual seating and group study areas, many with scenic mountain views. The Sage online catalog includes materials in the libraries, as well as links to more than 20,000 full-text electronic journals. The Prospector union catalog allows immediate access to the collections in several regional libraries. There is also a state-of-the-art interlibrary loan service to obtain needed material from other libraries worldwide. Student Health Insurance

Undergraduate students registered for at least four summer session credits are eligible for the student insurance policy. All graduate students registered for one or more summer session credits are also eligible for the student insurance policy. GUEST/Division of Continuing Education students must be registered for a minimum of six summer session credits to be eligible. Dependents of students are also eligible; however, dependents must be insured at the time that the student is enrolled on the student insurance policy.

In order to determine your eligibility for summer insurance and to enroll on the plan, you must come to the Student Insurance Office, Hartshorn Health Service to complete an enrollment card. Your effective date of coverage is determined by which session you are registered for classes in: May 18, 2009 or June 15, 2009. You must come to this office by no later than the above dates. You may not enroll for insurance by telephone.

University Counseling Services

The University Counseling Center offers a wide range of mental health services to fee paying students. Clinical services include short-term individual, couples and group counseling, as well as alcohol and drug interventions. Specialized services include testing for learning and attention difficulties, stress management, sports and performance enhancement, and prevention programming. Additionally, we provide emergency services accessed by calling 491-7111, after office hours. Clinical services are access through mental health triage located at Hartshorn Health Service. (top)

University Parking Services

During Summer Session (May 17th – August 23rd) student parking lots (“Q”, “W”, “X”, and “Z”) and motorcycle parking stalls do not require parking permits. ALL other parking restrictions remain in effect throughout the year. Please contact Colorado State University Police Department – Parking Services Division for specific information. (top)
