NRRT 270 Principles of NR Tourism

(hybrid course; part in-class, part online)
12-week session: 5/18/09 – 8/7/09, 12:00 pm – 12:50 pm MTWR

As a hybrid course, the first 5 to 6 weeks will be taught in-class with some online components with the final 6 weeks taught online allowing students to complete the course off-campus. This course provides students with an informational foundation in tourism and commercial recreation and gives students a more extensive knowledge of the tourism industry. Historical perspectives, the organization of tourism, and the supply and demand components of the tourism industry are examined. The dynamic and pluralistic nature of the tourism industry is discussed. RR 270 is a required course for all Natural Resource Tourism and Restaurant and Resort Management majors.
